First Annual Spark Hertel

Posted on July 17 2019

The first annual Spark Hertel was a huge success and we could not have done it without the support of our community! We’ve raised thousands of dollars for Beat NB and the Hertel Beautification Project. We are so honored that the Hertel Business Association and The Garage Cafe asked us to join forces with them for this event. The planning process that they looped us in on went off without any hiccups and we contribute that to the amazing talent that the organizing team has to bring to the table.

The goal was to fill Hertel Avenue between Delaware and Virgil with cars and motorcycles and that we did! We actually hit max capacity with both motorcycles and cars so shout out to all of our followers for, literally, pulling through. It was pretty incredible to see every type of biker represented and showing support for some awesome charities. We were impressed to see all the cars that stuck out the small rain shower that morning too! We saw a lot of familiar faces and are most excited to have met many new people from our community. The attendance of out of town guests was unreal. We met so many of you from Rochester, all over Canada, even someone from Norway!

We’re so grateful for all of the Spark Hertel vendors and sponsors that made this event happen. As for awards, we appreciate everyone taking part in the people’s choice categories for the cars and bikes. After we tallied hundreds of your votes, we learned who pulled out a win for all 11 categories in both bikes and cars. Shout out to Christian Newman who won Lowbrow’s People’s Choice for the Knucklehead build and Fred who won Biltwell’s Best in Show with his amazing Indian Chopper. Anita West did a phenomenal job as the MC for the event and put together some great music for the day.

We are looking forward to Spark Hertel being even bigger and better for 2020. Check out the rest of the photos on our Facebook album and tag yourself!
